The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has commended CIMAF Ghana Limited for what she described as a decade of remarkable contribution to Ghana’s industrialisation agenda and infrastructure development.
According to the Minister, CIMAF Ghana has, over the past ten years, distinguished itself as a strategic industrial partner through sustained investment, job creation, quality cement production, and support for Ghana’s growing construction sector.
The Minister made the remarks during the official launch of the company’s 10th Anniversary Commemoration held at CIMAF’s factory premises in Tema on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
The event brought together the company’s management and staff, industry stakeholders, business executives, government officials, construction sector players, and guests to celebrate the company’s decade-long operations in Ghana.
In a speech delivered on her behalf by Deputy Trade Minister Sampson Ahi, Hon. Ofosu-Adjare stated that CIMAF’s success story demonstrates the critical role the private sector plays in national economic transformation when investments are aligned with the government’s industrial development priorities.
She explained that since establishing operations in Ghana ten years ago, the cement manufacturing company has steadily grown into one of the major pillars within Ghana’s industrial landscape, supplying high-quality cement products while supporting infrastructure expansion across the country.
The Minister further praised the company for contributing to employment generation and local economic growth, stressing that such investments are essential to Ghana’s broader industrialisation and economic diversification agenda.
She noted that the government remains committed to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and expand operations, adding that partnerships between government and industry players remain key to achieving sustainable national development.
The Deputy Minister, Hon. Sampson Ahi, reiterated the government’s appreciation to the management of CIMAF Ghana for their confidence in Ghana’s economy and for their continued investment in the country despite global economic challenges affecting industries worldwide.
Management of the company also used the occasion to reflect on the company’s journey over the past decade, highlighting major milestones achieved since the establishment of the factory in Ghana.
The anniversary celebration was characterised by goodwill messages and solidarity statements from major industry bodies, including the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association and the Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry, both of which praised CIMAF for supporting Ghana’s real estate and construction industries through reliable cement production and supply.
Industry stakeholders at the event expressed optimism that the company would continue to expand its operations and deepen its contribution to Ghana’s industrial growth and infrastructure transformation.
